Penstemon palmeri
$12.00
Scented Beardtongue
Luscious, full, grape-scented flowers bloom in vertical clusters in late spring. They’re white, tinged with pink, and decorated with red-violet lines–just beautiful. Multitudes of pollinators gather for these blossoms, and we can’t blame them. Succulent gray-blue foliage make for a beautiful backdrop.
A deep taproot and majestic height make this penstemon ideal for water-wise landscapes, narrow borders, and pollinator gardens. Native to western US so excellent heat, drought, and poor soil tolerance.
Full-part sun. Height 4-6′. Spread 2-3′. Deer resistant. Zones 4-9.
