A more subdued passionvine that will thread through shrubs, climb a fence, scramble along the ground, however you would like to enjoy it’s attractive foliage and flowers.
Yellow flowers with a yellow corolla that looks like it has been zapped by electricity bloom all summer followed by dark blue, almost black berries that the birds enjoy eating.
Considered an endangered species in PA where it’s native south to FL. It’s the most cold tolerant of our native passionvines.
Bright shade to sun. Deer resistant. Height 6-15′. Zones 5-10.
