Parthenocissus henryana

$10.00

Chinese Virginia Creeper

This deciduous vine has nice velvety green leaves with silver veins in summer, but in the fall…get ready for a foliage fireworks extravaganza! Leaves turn brilliant shades of red to garnet to purple. Greenish-white flowers appear in late spring followed by fleshy blue-black berries in fall for bird feasting. A more restrained grower than other Parthenoncissus species.

Wonderful vine for walls, trellises, fences, and arbors, as well as a groundcover rambling over anything you want hidden. Good erosion control. Award of Garden Merit.

Part shade. Height 12-18′. Spread 16-20′. Tolerates range of soils. Deer resistant. Zone 6-9.
