Helleborus x hybridus
Nodding, 2″ cup-shaped flowers in shades of pinks, reds, and purples bloom March-May. No garden is complete without hellebores. They make a stately presence year-round and bring life and color to the garden at a time that can be otherwise dreary. Clump-forming foliage stays dark green and glossy through winter, then cut back in February to make way for the gorgeous blooms.
Full-part shade. Height and spread 1-1.5′. Deer resistant. Toxic if eaten. Zones 4-9. Flower color varies from plant to plant
