A squill with some leaf pizazz! Beautiful purple pinstriped leaves emerge from the soil as a sweet welcome from spring. Clusters of tiny fragrant pink flowers are just as charming. Will spread to form colonies up to a foot wide in border fronts and rock gardens. Looks superb in containers, too. Native to wetlands of southern Africa. Adapts to different types of soils but prefers moist, well-drained growing conditions.
Full-part sun. Height 6-10”. Spread 9-12”. Zones 7-10.
