Red Firefly Coral Bells
Slender stems hold vibrant scarlet-red, bell-shaped flowers in late spring through summer over lush mounds of scalloped green leaves. The airy flowers are held on long slender stems and dance about on the wind. We have been pleasantly surprised by the long bloom time and versatility of this somewhat ‘old fashioned’ plant enjoying it in the garden mixed with iris and other perennials to planted in containers with carex showing off its handsome leaves and bloom bloom blooming. Very pretty and the hummingbirds like it too!
Tolerant of most soils except heavy clay. A western wildflower in its native western US habitat.
Part shade. Height 1-2′. Spread 1-1.5′. Zones 4-9
4.5″ pot
