Sheila’s Sunshine Giant Sunflower
Last fall at the nursery, we marveled while up to three bees at a time would crowd onto just one of these daisy-like flowers in search of last-minute nectar. It was a beautiful picture of cooperation and partnership in search of the greater good (or “greater food”??).
Pastel-yellow flowers with brown centers and neutral green leaves blend perfectly in the back of the border with other tall fall asters.
Full sun. Drought tolerant. Height 6-10′. Spread 2-3′. Zones 3-9.
