Social/Low Woodland Sedge
A very adaptable, companionable sedge that forms dense tufts of narrow, very fine, light green, arching foliage. Spreads by rhizomes to form large colonies. Much appreciated for its easy growth in wet to dry soils, including heavy clay soils and areas that are seasonally wet but become dry in summer.
Native to the eastern US. Will add fine texture to the rain garden and woodlands area. Drought tolerant once established.
Part sun. Height and spread 1-2′. Deer resistant. Zones 5-9.
