Fine textured foliage with sweetly scented white flower clusters June-July. Yellow-orange fall color keeps the interest through to October. An excellent food source for larval butterflies.

Plants form small colonies giving the garden a soft, wavy texture that combines nicely with grasses and other native flowering plants.

Full sun. Good drainage. Height 1-3′. Spread 1-2′. Native to prairies, meadows, and open woods of the eastern and central US. Zones 4-8.
