Mrs. Loewer Spiderwort

Soft pale-blue flower clusters bloom June through September, much longer than the species. Dark purple rosettes in winter give way to narrow, gracefully arching blue-green leaves in spring. Leaves are so slender it looks like a purple flowering grass. Looks great anywhere in the perennial garden adapting to various growing conditions, from hot, dry sites to moist, low-lying areas.

Full-part sun. Height 2-3’. Spread 1-2’. Black walnut tolerant. Zones 3-8.
