Violetta Fall Aster
An abundance of daisy-like, rich purple flowers with orangey-brown centers envelop this aster for up to 4 weeks. Hearty, dark green leaves and sturdy, hairy stems are the backdrop to this floriferous purple wonder. Vital source of nectar and pollen for late-season pollinators.
June-prune for a shorter plant and later flowering. Try it with some of PHN’s Solidagos for an outstanding fall display in the perennial garden.
Full-part sun. Height 3-6′. Spread 2-3′. Deer and rabbit resistant. Drought tolerant. NATIVE. Zones 4-8.
