Bog Goldenrod

Clumps of narrow green leaves remain quiet until late summer when bursts of golden yellow flower arrays emerge to brighten the landscape. As the name suggests, boggy soils are best so plant in sunny rain gardens and wet areas for a late-season golden extravaganza.

Native to eastern US bogs, marshes, and swamps, goldenrod is highly attractive to pollinators as the flowers are full of nectar.

Full-part sun. Height 2-5′. Spread 2-4′. Deer tolerant. Zones 4-8.
