Broadleaf Goldenrod

There’s a goldenrod out there for everyone.

An important larval host for numerous moths, including Wavy-Lined Emerald and Green Leuconycta, Broadleaf Goldenrod has clusters of sunny yellow flowers at stem ends for the bees and butterflies in late summer to fall. Leaves “zig and zag” up the stem to complete the look.

Self-seeds, so ideally suited for large meadowy, native gardens with dappled sun. Native to eastern US.

Part shade. Height and Spread 1-3′. Deer tolerant. Zones 3-8.

4.5″ pot
