Spurless Columbine
A relative of columbine where the flowers are spurless. Tufts of finely divided, grey-green leaves yield delicate, nodding flowers on upright stems in late spring to early summer. These little beauties come in shades of deep violet, rich pink, and wine purple.
Ideal low plant for edging in the woodland or rock gardens. Will self-seed to create a lovely colony. At the nursery, we’ve planted it at the edge of a river stone patio hoping to see it self sow between the stones.
Part shade. Well-drained, moist soil. Height 8-18″. Spread 10-12″. Native to open woodlands in China. Zones-6-9.
4.5″ pot
