Garden Sage Newe Ya’ar
This one lives up to its name–“good plant” (Hebrew, pronounced noy ya ar). Developed in Israel as hybrid of S. officinalis and S. fruticosa, it thrives in hot, humid climates and its lavender-blue flowers bloom all spring.Leaves are larger, stay green after cooking, and have a milder taste compared to regular sage. A beautiful ornamental–for herb gardens and beyond. Full sun. Height 3’. Spread 6’. Drought tolerant. Zones 6b-9.
