Spotted Bee Balm

This plant is so cool. Just look at those blooms! Yellow-spotted flowers are displayed between pink, green, and white bracts like horses in a carousel. Native to eastern US, this plant thrives in average to sandy soils. Looks great planted in meadow-type gardens, massed in the back of a border, or allowed to naturalize in an open area where it will attract butterflies by the hordes. The fragrant foliage can be used in teas or as a substitute for oregano.

Full sun. Good drainage. Salt tolerant. Height 1-2′. Zones 5-10.

2.5″ pot
