Rosy-red flowers with white-tipped spurs emerge in spring above bronze foliage that has hints of purple and green. Yubae is vigorous in both growth and flowering and has beautiful impact in the shade garden, even at a distance. Of note: Yubae is not to be confused with E. grandiflorum ‘Rose Queen.’

An excellent, easily managed groundcover that is beautiful when planted en masse under trees, in woodland gardens, and along borders. Cut back old leaves in late winter for best floral display in spring.

Full-part shade. Height & Spread 1-1.5′. Deer and rabbit tolerant. Zones 5-8.
