Sprays of bright rosy-pink flowers adorned with long white spurs sway elegantly in spring above an amazing foliage display. Heart-shaped leaves emerge bronze-purple in spring, turn dark green in summer, and then back to bronze-purple in fall.

An excellent, easily managed groundcover that is beautiful when planted en masse under trees, in woodland gardens, and along borders. Cut back old leaves in late winter for best floral display in spring. Award of Garden Merit.

Full-part shade. Deer and rabbit resistant. Height 8-12″. Spreads moderately 1-2′. Zones 4-8.
