Coreopsis tinctoria Seeds
This sweet little flower can make some sweet colors. The flowers of Dyer’s Coreopsis produce colors from yellow to red. Some dyers claim that different colored flowers produce slightly different dye colors, but this hasn’t been confirmed. Pick flowers as they bloom and dry until you have enough for a dye bath (about a grocery bag full). Picking flowers before they set seed will keep more flowers coming.
Full sun. Height depends on variety. Native to eastern US. Annual.
