Recently discovered on the west coast of Japan by the great nurserymen of Nurseries Caroliniana and brought back for propagation because who doesn’t need a super low growing, deep green, sweet smelling, evergreen, wet/ sun/ shade / average soils tolerant plant? Those are lots of great attributes that can be used in many different ways in the garden and pond!

It’s low growing stature of 1-3″ also make it an excellent candidate for bonsai and container gardens as well.  What’s not to like?

Flowers? inconspicuous little flag poles in early spring…this is a foliage plant! Never underestimate the excellence of the supporting cast.

Full sun to shade. Average to wet soils. Height 1-3″. Zones 6-9.
