Deinanthe caerulea x bifida
$17.00
Two-Lobed False Hydrangea
We’re thrilled to offer this rare shade perennial that we’ve enjoyed for years in the PHN gardens. Large, attractive, two-lobed green leaves hold clusters of nodding, cup-shaped blue flowers in mid summer.
Forming a beautifully shaped, rounded mound with its unusual leaf structure, it quickly catches the attention of discerning gardeners and is the highlight in any shade garden.
Related to hydrangea but is a herbaceous perennial rather than a woody shrub. This cross of two different species of deinanthe contains the vigor of D. bifida and the flower color of D. caerula.
Full-part shade. Moist, well-drained soils for best growth and show. Height 1.5′-2′. Spread 2-2.5′. Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 5-8.
4.5″ pot
