This rare Japanese variety is a treasure. Beautifully dissected leaves give way to vibrant magenta flowers with white centers displayed on red stems. Blooms in spring and lightly again in fall. Sweet fragrance.
Self-seeds in open spaces and rock crevices creating a welcome display of early-season, fragrant cheery blooms. Can also be used as a cut flower or grown in containers and forced for a late winter sensory treat indoors as one flower can scent an entire room. Lovely!
