Orchid-like purple and white flowers with dark purple freckles bloom late summer to early fall offering color at a time when other plants are beginning to fade. Plants emerge in the spring showing dark green leaves with slender bright yellow margins. The foliage holds this showy color into the summer.

Full-part shade. Average to moist soils. Height 18-24″. Spread 18″. June prune for more compact plants and extra bloom in fall. Zones 4-8.
