Georgia Aster
A gorgeous addition to PHN’s selection of native fall asters, Georgia has thick dark green leaves along clusters of long woody stems that produce incredible, iridescent purple-cobalt blue flowers.
Looks beautiful with lots of fall bloomers, but contrasts especially nice with solidago. Native to southeastern US where in some areas it is endangered, so Georgia is real native treasure.
Full sun. Height 1.5-3′. Spread 3-4′. Well-drained soils; no wet feet. Zones 3-9.
