Peachie’s Stokes Aster
Discovered by Peachie Saxton in MS, many consider this to be the best cultivar around of this southeastern US native.
Fluffy, cornflower-like, lavender-blue flowers bloom profusely longer and later than other varieties. Excellent drought, heat, and humidity tolerance and an upright habit. Makes a great cut flower!
Full sun. Height and spread 1-1.5′. Moist, well-drained soils is a must. Deadhead to encourage re-bloom until fall. NATIVE. Rabbit tolerant. Zones 5-9.
