This native silphium mingles well with other natives with its smaller stature and softly pale summer-blooming, yellow flowers. Fuzzy leaves and stems add a soft texture that glows when backlit by morning or evening sun or when covered in dew.
Pollinators and birds love both the flower nectar and seed.
