Soft satin-like, fragrant silvery leaves frame button-shaped, pink flower heads. Flowers produce nectar attracting a wide variety of amazingly diverse and unendingly interesting insects. The photo shows a buckeye butterfly enjoying a drink. Good cut and dried flower.

Full-part sun. Height and spread 3′. Native to moist woods and meadows in eastern US. Deer resistant. Zones 3-7.
