Sparkler Mondo Grass (or Bad-Hair-Day Mondo Grass)
A truly remarkable evergreen, clumping mondo grass with narrow green leaves that curl about in every direction. Dainty white flowers stalks grow in summer. The best is yet to come when luminescent, jewel-like, sapphire-blue berries appear in autumn.
A fine textural addition to the shade garden as a groundcover or lining pathways, especially because it tolerates most soil types and locations, including dry shade and compacted soil. Sparkler grows carefree but always looks its best.
Full-part shade. Height 8-12″. Spread 12″. Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 6-10.
