Red Tips Box Honeysuckle
This elegant, ornamental hedge has a shapely form with gracefully arching branches. New leaves are a glossy reddish purple turning to dark green with a red flush as the season progresses. Creamy white tubular flowers in late spring provide nectar for butterflies and hummingbirds.
Plant in mixed beds and borders where it will add fine evergreen to plum-colored texture to the landscape composition all year. Prune in late winter. Highly tolerant of urban pollution.
Full-part sun. Height and spread 5′. Will fill out right to the ground. Zones 6-9.
