White Wood Aster
This native perennial is a real stalwart in the shade garden. It thrives in full to part shade, dry to average soils, and blooms reliably late summer-fall. Useful for naturalizing, creating a foamy sea of white flowers or just dotting about the garden to lighten the darkness of the shade. The seeds are a good forage for song birds. If you choose to leave the seeds on through the winter, expect volunteer seedlings in the spring.
Full-part shade. Height 1-2′. Zones 3-8.
4.5″ pot
