Summer’s Swan Song Vernonia
A fabulous hybrid selected by Dr. Jim Ault at the Chicago Botanic Gardens and trialed at Mt. Cuba Center. We grew it for a custom grow and LOVED it. Everyone is in agreement…this is a super fabulous hybrid!
Deep green leaves on sturdy, stiff stems interlock as they grow so no flopping! Yes!!
The flower buds are equally gorgeous as they pop open in autumn to reveal little purple brush flowers with a plentitude of pollen. High 5 little honeybee!
Full sun. Height & Spread 3′. Deer and rabbit resistant. Nativar. Zones 4-9.
