Cheery lavender-blue, two-lipped flowers bloom on erect stems for weeks in mid-summer. Bushy plants of medium green leaves are very adaptable and fit right in as accents or en masse. A sweet addition to meadow and native gardens.
Native to forests and rocky slopes of central and eastern US so it tolerates hot, dry conditions and rocky soil.
Full-part sun. Height 2-3′. Spread 1.5-2′. Deer and rabbit resistant–foliage is unpalatable. Zones 5-8.
