Coreopsis tripteris ‘Gold Standard’
$10.00
Tall Coreopsis
Gold Standard has all the best qualities of the straight species (disease resistance, hardiness) but with a better form and a longer bloomtime. Cheery yellow flowers with chocolate-brown centers bloom on secondary, shorter, much sturdier growth rather than just at the top for an all-over floral display.
This eastern US native has an open, airy habit that blends beautifully with grasses or shines at the back of a border, along a fence, or even against open sky. The flowers support over 40 different insects, including predatory varieties. Thrives in lean, rocky soils and even tolerates clay. Collected wild in Alabama by Mt. Cuba Center.
Full sun. Height 5-6′. Spread 4-6′. Deer resistant. Zones 3-8.
