Golden 4-6″ globes of nectar-rich yellow flowers bloom late spring to early summer attracting pollinators and brightening the early summer garden. Deep green, heart-shaped foliage adds a rich, cool color to the full or part-sun garden.

Native to the southeastern US and a host plant for the black swallowtail butterfly.

Full-part sun. Height and spread 1-2′. Dry to moist soils. Deer resistant. Good cut flower. Zones 3-8.
