Salvia lyrata ‘Blue Flower Form’ Seeds

$5.00

Lyre-Leaf Sage

A beneficial native groundcover that produces periwinkle-blue tubular flowers in late spring that are perfect landing pads for bees and hummingbirds. Hairy green leaves have identifiable reddish-brown patches. Prefers moist, sandy, and clay soils.

Low-lying foliage is resilient and can tolerate mowing, foot traffic, drought, and flooding, so lyre-leaf sage is well-suited for the pollinator, native, meadow, and rain gardens. Self-seeds, but easily controlled by deadheading.

Full-part sun. Height 1-2′. Spread 8-12″. NATIVE. Zones 5-8.
