Anise-Scented Goldenrod
Dense spires of golden yellow flowers bloom late summer on graceful arching branches attracting pollinators with its rich nectar. A tidy grower with a clumping growth habit that provides food and shelter for wildlife. Excellent for controlling erosion with its drought tolerance and strong root system. Glossy, anise-scented dark green leaves make a lovely tea.
Full-part sun. Height 2-4′. Spread 1-2′. Native to eastern US. Deer tolerant. Zones 4-9.
