Viburnum nudum

Witherod Viburnum

Even though this tidy, handsome shrub has beautiful white flowers in late spring, it is best known for its excellent fall display. In late summer, clusters of bubblegum-pink berries form. As the season progresses, the berries turn blueberry blue while the foliage bursts into a mahogany and red display.

Full sun-part shade. Height 3-6′. Spread 3-6′. Multi-stemmed, rounded shrub. Attracts birds. Average to moist soils. No serious pests or diseases. Zones 5-9.
