Salvia guaranitica ‘Black and Blue’
Salvia Black and Blue
Gorgeous blue flowers with black calyxes bloom all summer to frost. Extremely attractive to hummingbirds as the flowers are an excellent source of nectar. Since they bloom into the cooler months of September and October, they are also a good source of food for migrating hummingbirds.
Plant in full-part sun in average to fertile soils. Height and spread 2-5′. Winter hardy in zones 6-7 if planted in well-drained soils where they will then break dormancy in May or June. Deer resistant. Zones (6)7-10.
