Putnam Blues Phlox
A selection made here at Putnam Hill for its fragrant purplish blue flowers with white pinwheel centers. Woodland phlox colors can range from white to purple and we found this one to have a particular deep purplish blue color so have named it Putnam Blue. Flowers bloom in early spring. Glossy green leaves form a pretty weed barring groundcover in summer.
Full-part shade. 12″ in flower. Zones 3-8.
