Marrubium vulgare



A medicinal herb with ornamental value. Grayish green, crinkled foliage is mounding and somewhat trailing. Leaves are used to make a tea or cough drops, relieve a sore throat, and act as an expectorant and antitussant. Also used as a grasshopper repellent in agriculture. Who knew?

Full sun. Height 2-3’. Spread 1-2’. Grows in nutrient poor, dry soils. Zones 4-9.
