Gentiana dahurica ‘Nikita’
Deep indigo blue flowers bloom early to mid-summer over-top deep green leaves. Plants spread wider than they are tall. Beautiful as an edging plant or mixed with low-growing grasses in a meadow setting. Seeds are used in Chinese medicine for stomach conditions. Roots are used to make a tonic. Once established, long-lived and undemanding. Excellent cut flowers.
