Large purple berries are held in clusters along the stems October through December. Berries are a source of food for many species of birds, especially bobwhites.

Small, light purple flowers bloom June to August. Good yellow fall foliage display.

Full-part sun. Height and spread 6′. Average to moist soils. Arching branch habit. Can be cut to the ground each year. NATIVE. Zones 6-10.
