Abbey Road Masterwort
Exquisite clusters of tiny, deep reddish-purple flowers crowd together in a dome-shaped flower head, like pins on a cushion. Flowers bloom on upright, deep purple stems, above rosettes of dark green leaves from late spring to early summer. Collars of red and cream bracts remain attractive after flowering.
A nice, slowly spreading weaver and mixer throughout the perennial border with ornamental grasses and sedums. Border fronts are ideal to fully appreciate these “stop-in-your-tracks” blooms. Excellent cut flower, fresh or dried.
Part shade. Height 2-3′. Spread 1-2′. Consistently moist, well-drained soils. Deer resistant. Zones 4-7.
4.5″ pot
