Astilbe chinensis ‘Little Visions in Pink’

Chinese Astilbe

An amazing bloomer standing about 16” in bloom, that produces densely floriferous masses of fuzzy, pyramidal shaped, rose pink plumes above textured, rich dark green foliage in summer. Wow! Dried flower stalks persist after the blooms fade offering more ornamental value. Some gardeners even go so far as to spray paint the spent flower stems for a longer season of color! Cool! Alternatively, trim after flowering and enjoy the attractive deep green foliage. Beautiful massed or as a specimen. Perfectly sized for containers or the front of the border. Greater tolerance to drier soils than other astilbes.

Sun-Shade. Average to moist soils. Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 4-9.
