Climbing Aster
This rarely offered, vining native aster blooms at the most unexpected time and grows in an unexpected manner. It’s a climber! Train it on a fence or trellis, let it ramble as a ground cover, or spill over a wall. It blooms very late October into November, persisting through frost and freezes, offering honeybees and pollinators nectar at a time when little is there for them. What a treat!
