Angelica sylvestris ‘Vicar’s Mead’
Vicar’s Mead Angelica
This architectural plant gives a whoop of glee from all who get to experience its deliciously good looks. Smoky dark purple leaves and stems erupt from the ground in early spring giving way to dusky pink flowers held in umbels high above. Equally excellent in formal gardens as wild gardens. Good cut flower.
Full to part sun. Height 4-5’. Spread 2-2.5’. Average to moist soils. Short lived perennial/Biennial. Zones 4-9
