One of my absolute favorite native plants. Snow-white, 2”, daisy-like flowers emerge as a welcoming harbinger of spring. Flowers are embraced by scalloped, grayish-green basal leaves that unfurl as the flower blooms. Leaves grow and remain attractive through summer. Interplant with other woodland perennials. Beautiful when it naturalizes and forms colonies.
Full-part shade. Height 6-10”. Spread 3-6”. Toxic if eaten. Native to mid-Atlantic region. Zones 3-8.
