Salvia elegans ‘Honey Melon’
Honey Melon Sage
This little salvia smells like a slice of melon on a summer’s day. Lipstick-red flowers bloom all summer, earlier than pineapple sage. Culinary uses include teas, jams, and potpourri. Used as a medicinal herb to relieve anxiety and tension. Cut back older stems to the ground to enjoy new growth and bloom continually.
Full-part sun. Height 24”. Spread 24”. Grow as annual. Zones 9-11.
