Virginia Mountain Mint
This eastern US native with its fragrant minty oregano scent is an excellent nectar source for butterflies and every pollinator in the neighborhood. Mountain Mint is worth growing just for the show of insects and butterflies it attracts. White with purple blush flowers bloom July to August. Looks great with grasses and other native perennials.
Full-part sun. Height 4’. Spread 3-4’. Spreading, but easily kept in check. Deer and rabbit resistant. Zones 4-9.
