This sea holly blooms mid-summer to fall with brilliantly colored flowers and bracts. Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and other nectar-loving creatures. Looks great mixed with grasses, daisies, vernonia, and other meadow-type plants, as well as being a knockout in containers. This plant gains attention no matter where it is planted. AWESOME! Excellent as a cut or dried flower.
Full sun. Good drainage. Height 2-3’. Annual with some reseeding possible. Native to south central US.
